This year the Festival of Arts provided $2,950 in scholarships for area art students who demonstrated excellence in the visual arts. An exhibit of the students’ artwork will be on display from Friday, August 22 through Sunday, September 21, 2008 in the Loft at the Center for the Visual Arts, 427 Fourth Street, Wausau. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m on Friday, August 22. The event and exhibit are free and open to the public. For more information contact the CVA at 715-842-4545.
